WOW!
I guess for some reason I didn't realize how PACKED Welcome Week would be. I have been on the go since I got here. It's crazzzy!! haha!
Since arriving here I realize how "sheltered" (in a good way) I have been growing up. I'm just so used to being around people that have the same values as I do, and if they don't, they know not to say anything innapropriate aound me. Here, I've heard people make crude jokes, slight sexual jokes, and cuss. I know this is the "real world" and everything, but I'm at a CHRISTIAN University, and I guess that I just thought that my fellow classmates would live up to that standard. Just a little culture shock :)
I am LOVING my dorm! I'm staying in Gardner and I have an amazing roomie and a great hall! Corri Anne and my room has been deemed the "party room" in our hall because we have Guitar Hero and DDR and I brought over 100 movies :) It's been a lot of fun!
Today we have Moody Morning and then we're going to do a service project.
Well, I need to go, but I will write more soon...
I love you guys :)

Hey, Girl - I just got the link to your blog so I'm catching up with you. Your dad came by the church yesterday so I got the info on you and Benjamin. (I can't believe you never mentioned this to me!) Anyway, I'm very excited for your new life and love. Make the most of these days at ACU and don't be too disappointed in the "real world". You are different and it's ok to let people know it. I love you and am praying for you daily.
the world is just as REAL at the christian universities. the difference - our expectations of others are higher. hang in there. you need the REAL world exposure to reach the lost. the key - don't change who you are!
love you!
Hey sweet girl! I hope you are loving it at ACU. Yeah, there are always going to be people like that even at Christian schools. However, I think you'll find that there are many people just like you as well. Hang in there and have fun. It will be some of the greatest years of your life.
